Sinamaica Lagoon
Add to LightboxA visit to Sinamica Laggon, in the southern portion of Maracaibo State, Venezuela. This laggon with stilt houses inhabited by 3,000 dwellers gave the name to Venezuela, since Sanish conquerors relationed this landscape with Venice, Italy. A majority of residents are indigenous Añu who live in stilt houses on stilts above the tropical lagoon.
